North Island Lodge Reports
June 9 - 13, 2008
It was east meets west this trip at North Island Lodge as long time guests Graham Parlee and the rest of the “Cod Fisherman” touched down on our dock. Most of these guys have a fair bit of experience on the waters around here, but out of the gate things were fairly quiet with a just few fish in the teens to low twenties. Day three they kicked it up a notch, ending the day was Pat Lee with a 36lber, John Ellis with a 30lber and defiantly a few more on the numbers side of things. Ken Ozment managed to scoop a 37 in the mist of the battle of the east. I’m sure at times he was wondering where these guys came from with the east coast lingo and “Newfie” jokes. A good time had by all and a great group of people sharing a few laughs.
The Yamaha crew also stopped by this trip making sure their product was performing for us this year. The crew inspected our boats from top to bottom, putting service programs in place and answering all of our questions. Some even managed to get out and test their product while under the salmon fishing application…Seemed to work alright for the Victoria crew, hitting the dock with a couple fish in short order. Thanks guys, your product is certainly working out for us this year.
