The Outpost Reports
July 4 – July 7, 2008
Choppy seas and heavy rain confined the Nechacko group of guests to fishing in our beautiful coves and bays. The weather was relentless and so was the unraveled spirit of this hardy group of fishermen. And once again our bays and coves proved to be a safe and successful haven for catching Chinook.
David Fehr, coached by guide Kevin (Kermode) Sturgess, caught a 37 lb Tyee off of Brock Island in an area we have recently christened Tyee Bay. The silver beauty was caught in 26 feet of water on a herring teaser head. Vido Gravic’s 28 lb Spring, Ken Yorston’s 20 & 26 lb Springs, Bob Doerksen’s 23 lb Spring &10 & 8 lb Coho, Kevin and Lyndon Bennett’s two 21 lb Springs and Alan Fitzpatrick’s 9 lb Coho all contributed to making this weekend adventurous….Thank you for your patience gentlemen….Wayne has talked to his people and promises much better weather for next year….see you soon!
