Outpost Update ~ June 17 "On a roll"

We didn't break 40 today but how's 35 for a consolation prize? Troy who caught the biggest fish of the trip (and of the season) thus far landed and released a 41 x 26 inch fish this afternoon...roughly 35 pounds...

I was lucky enough to be there with him....well done Troy!

Where...in the bay of course, right in front of the lodge, where else?

In other news the weather calmed down a bit and we had a productive fishing day around Port Louis with decent Hali and Chinook showings. Here are a couple of pictures as the day unfolded...

A perfect morning and trio of Hali's for Troy, Steve and Tim, all nice take home fish.

Guide Pete and Bernie pose with a nice 24 pound chinook...

Kelly had a set of 23 pound twins...

Steve and Dickie were trying to win the wildcard prize of the day for smallest fish on the scale...

Their prize was trumped by smallest salmon...a 2lb coho for Bernie.

This group was leg by Mike who first fished the Charlottes in 1988 and still comes back every year...

Thanks for your patronage and years of loyalty Mike. Here he is with Troy and the roundout of their afternoon catch...

and sous chef Natasha bringing out the most spectacular home made apple pie...

...thats not including the home made ice cream.
