The Outpost~~ Mission Control, We are Going for it!!

The stars did not align at The OP yesterday but we had a fun day, 4 out of the 5 criteria were right for a perfect day….A good weather window… CheckFlat Water…. CheckWater Temperatures were warm…CheckChlorophyll counts were low….CheckAlbacore tuna…. NopeWe knew the mission yesterday could either be as productive as Bob and Kathryn's tuna trip two years ago or it could be a complete bust. The guests were willing and the guides even more so.

Here is Ben and Dennis, all 7 boats made swaths through the ocean trying and track down the elusive fast swimming fish.

We saw all the signs for Tuna, all the correct seas birds, loads of dolphins, just no tuna.Here are a few photos from last time Bob and Kathryn went Albacore Tuna fishing with Mike Panz.

The are just like little missiles going through the water. On this trip they retained 22 tuna, a full boat load!!!Unfortunately the fish won yesterday but we are remaining optimistic!!! I think we will wait for a week or two to try again, they are out there we just need to find them!!!As for today…. Hopefully more Tyees!!Tight linesMarky Mark
