The Outpost Report: August 6, 2010

August 6, 2010

OUTPOST UPDATE: I’m back at the OP and a special thanks to the staff for facilitating my time away with family and friends. It was wonderful to arrive back into our secluded little piece of paradise. I’ll be short and sweet tonight and then fill in some of the gaps over the next few days

Fog was heavy, the changeover a little slow and the fishing followed suit with only one Chinook hitting the dock today. Surprisingly there are Chum jumping all over the bay and Chef Michael has been catching them off the dock with a fly rod…it ceases to amaze how new fisheries pop up here all the time.

Highlights on the dock today included...

JP demonstrating to Curtis the “Triple Yellow Eye Finger Hold” a dangerous maneuver and only performed with years of experience, DO NOT try this at home!

Bill Lapp was extremely happy with his perfect 51 pound Halibut...

While Bob Clay was thrilled to catch this 72 pound Hali with his famous daughter Kaili Clay...

That’s right 2 Clays under one roof, it’ll be a showdown tomorrow on the Krud table.

The Multistack group left today after a fun trip with all sorts of shenanigans…I’ll be digging up stories and posting some details tomorrow. They had excellent fishing and an excellent time...

Thanks to all.

,p>Goodnight from the OP
