Rain and wind welcomed the SMS group of guests as they got out of the helicopter. But this group of couples was familiar with Charlotte weather so the elements were not a factor. This year was the tenth anniversary of SMS coming to the Outpost so it was a very special weekend. We also had fun celebrating Laverne Popowich’s birthday on Sunday.
Mike Ranallo’s 28 lb Chinook, Cliff Britch’s 27 lb Chinook and the birthday girl Laverne Popowich’s 25 lb Chinook were the largest silver beauties caught over the weekend. The group also caught 24 Coho in total as Coho ranging from 8-12 lbs are starting to move into the area. Thirteen Halibut were caught with Ginete Britch’s 41 lb Hali, Russ Halbauer’s 38 lb Hali and Janneen Sharples 32 lb Hali leading the pack. Thank you everyone for a great weekend of fun and festivities….looking forward to seeing you all next year!
