The Outpost Report: July 4, 2010

OUTPOST UPDATE: Sometimes the fishing slips…but for lunch we had fish and chips…

Somehow Fish & chips make everything better, believe me it’s that good!
I got a nice on the water shot of Charles Metcalfe and his 20 pound Chinook caught with Guide JP yesterday…

And that about does it..the weather has been downright lousy and getting a nice troll anywhere has been tough. The guides are working overtime to make things happen; I’ve seen them pulling out everything trick in the book from bizarre plugs to super gluing flash onto their lures. Nobody wants to catch you fish more than these guys, they take it personally! So much so that Whitney was a little worried “boat 4” was going to strangle himself with his dock rope when he had a dry-ish afternoon…

Not too worry the weather is slated to improve and a tough day on the water beats work in the city anyday of the week. After a wet, cold weekend the last supper before changeover at the OP is a wonderful “family style” steak feast inside where its warm, friendly and full of laughter…
