The Clubhouse Report: June 30, 2011

Langara is now officially infested with Chinook salmon! You can walk out to Coho point on they're backs I swear! Ridiculous fishing, Chinooks averaging 20 lbs, one after another and looks like it is continuing today. Yesterday we had fish to 38 lbs, not heaps of tyee, but shaking 22 lbers like they were humpies.

Fish are everywhere, Mac if you want to go that far, Cohoe point completely infested, and Gunia, with a bit of size.... we are fishing mostly the top fifty feet of water, a cut plug, some of us with fresh bait, others trolling some spoons now to keep up. We only see this many Chinook a couple times a year, this is more like catching than fishing.

I am out now for an afternoon so will fill you in tonight. We are experiencing thunder showers, it is wet, but who cares, a crazy bite is on and I am outta here for a fish.
